FREE SLING HIRE!!
.We offer free 4 week sling hire to all new parents. If you have a baby under 6 weeks old then you could be eligible.
To support parents into the world of Babywearing, we would like to offer all new parents the chance to try using a stretchy sling for free for 4 weeks. You would need to leave a £20 deposit which is paid back on return of the sling. If you like the sling and wish to keep it for longer you can either buy into a membership using your deposit money and then hire the sling for £5 a month OR pay £10 a month leaving your deposit available for when you return the sling to the library.
If you loved the closeness and convenience of babywearing but didn't enjoy the sling itself you can return the sling and hire one of our other slings suitable for new babies, see Slings and carriers.
We now have 7 volunteers stretched across the area so will be offering the chance for new parents to meet somewhere close to home as soon as you are ready after the birth of your baby, to be fitted with a stretchy sling you can hire for free. You will not need to wait for a sling library to be local to you.

General Library
The General sling library has a wide range of slings available to try and hire. We can also offer support with fitting if you already have your own sling you want to use. This service is free of charge. Book a 20 minute time slot to take advantage of this service.
Hire Charges
Stretchy slings and caboo carriers Members - £5 per month Non-members - £10 per month (£20 deposit)
All other slings Members - £7.50 per month Non-members - £15 per month (£40 deposit)
Membership price £20 for full lifetime membership (unlimited hire). This entitles you to half price hire charges and eliminates the need for a deposit.
If a sling/carrier is late in being returned, unless it is at the fault of the library, then a £1 per day late fee will be added to the normal monthly hire fee.
